Bruce W. Geiger is President of Bruce W. Geiger & Associates, Inc., (BWG) an Albany-based government affairs firm specializing in New York State government relations.
Bruce held the position of Chief of Staff to the Vice President Pro Tempore of the New York State Senate prior to leaving government service. He has accumulated years of experience in both the legislature and private sector as a staff member, policy advisor, communications specialist, legislative director, chief of staff and lobbyist. As such, Bruce has directly developed laws, budget language and regulatory provisions that have had a significant impact on aviation, transportation, property and income taxation, economic development, health care, the environment and other important policy areas.
As a lobbyist, Bruce has used his extensive training and experience in government service to successfully represent private and nonprofit corporations, trade groups, associations and professional organizations before the legislative and executive branches of New York State government. He also represents clients on state procurement issues before the NYS Office of General Services.

Bruce is skilled in all aspects of State legislative, budget and regulatory procedures. His extensive practice areas include drafting bills and budget language and guiding these measures through the complex legislative committee and conference committee processes. Bruce also has considerable experience in State agency rule making procedures. These activities necessitate interacting with the Governor’s office, Senators and Assembly persons and their staffs, State agency personnel, government regulators, community organizations, other lobbyists, local officials and representatives of industry and business. His research talents extend to New York law and case law.
Bruce also possesses keen public relations abilities and is experienced in preparing newsletters and press releases, drafting speeches and testimony, and organizing meetings, press conferences and other media events.
Bruce holds a B.S. degree in Economics with a Minor in Business from the State University of New York at Albany and has post-graduate training in Economics, Public Administration, Labor Relations and Public Finance.
